Ayoub Carpet Service Cleans ALL Types of Rugs!
Oriental, Turkish and other area rugs differ greatly in their construction, fibers and dye intensity. At Ayoub Carpet Service, we have been cleaning Oriental rugs since 1952 and we understand these differences. That is why we use the most advanced in–plant cleaning process available, and adapt our methods to suit each individual rug. Combining our traditional hands–on cleaning and repair techniques with the latest technology provides the most comprehensive way of caring for your investment in fine floor coverings.

Most Oriental rugs are hand or machine woven on cotton, silk or wool foundations. The pile is usually comprised of wool, but sometimes silk or other material dyed with vegetable or synthetic dyes. True experts, like our Ayoub Carpet Service IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) certified rug cleaning technicians are trained to recognize the complexities of rugs.

Mothproofing
If your rug has been rolled up or stored for an extended length of time, we recommend that you consider having your rug cleaned and mothproofed. A dirty rug can attract wool-eating insects.

The Ayoub Hand-Wash Rug Cleaning Procedure:

    1. Inspect all areas of every carpet prior to cleaning.
    2. Dust rugs to remove dry soils.
    3. Pre-treat any oil, grease, or other stains.
    4. Immerse rugs in cold water to loosen and suspend soils trapped deep within the rugs.
    5. Hand shampoo with cleaning detergents approved by Wools of New Zealand.
    6. Hand scrub soiled fringes.
    7. Thoroughly rinse all soils and detergents out of rugs with cold water.
    8. Remove water with high volume vacuum water extractor.
    9. Apply conditioning agents as needed, groom nap and dry in climate controlled drying room.
    10. Final inspection of rugs for maximum results.
