I have received several inquiries regarding the recent merger of two local carpet companies, Hanna Ayoub Rugs, serving the Silver Spring, MD area, and Hadeed Carpet.

We, Ayoub Carpet Service and/or ACS®, have NOT merged with any other company.

There are several independently operated companies operating in the Washington, DC, Virginia, and Maryland metropolitan areas under variations of the Ayoub name. We are Ayoub Carpet Service or ACS®.

In 1936 my grandfather, Joseph Ayoub, the second Ayoub to immigrate to the United States, began a long career in the Oriental rug industry, building a promising future for the family he left behind. In 1948 my father Jack Ayoub, and soon thereafter his brothers, came to the U.S. to follow in their father’s footsteps and chase the American dream. My father and his brothers opened Ayoub Rug Cleaning Co. in 1952. As a child I grew up in our family business learning the tools that would one day lead me to Ayoub Carpet Service.

It wasn’t until my father’s passing in 1986 that I truly understood the value of all I learned working with my family. In 1987 I opened my own business, ACS® Carpet Care, specializing in wall to wall cleaning. As my business grew and my uncles retired, I purchased Ayoub Rug Cleaning Co. from them in 2002 becoming Ayoub Carpet Service or ACS®.

Tens of thousands of consumers in the 80’s and 90’s know us as ACS®. Hundreds of thousands of consumers, dating back to the early 1950’s, know us simply as Ayoub.

Ayoub Carpet Service and/or ACS® continues to offer wall to wall carpet and oriental rug cleaning together with an array of flooring needs, from hardwood and luxury tile to oriental rugs and wall to wall carpet.

Our cleaning plant, which was located in North Arlington for over 50 years, moved to Chantilly in 2005 and is located there today. We opened our second location in the Falls Church/Arlington area near the original facility, offering a rug drop off location and a small showroom with flooring options.

Today, it is with pride and family tradition that I work harder than ever, not only to honor the family members that came before me, but to serve the community that has supported my family since 1936.
